Galatasaray will host PSG
It will be really hot at the Turk Telekom in Istanbul on Tuesday, because Galatasaray will host PSG in a fixture from Group A of the Champions League. If you think that the French side will win this one with ease, think again. Games in Istanbul are always hard for the visitors. Let’s examine it in our Champions League predictions.
Galatasaray started their Champions League season with a strategic draw away from home. The Turkish giants visited Club Brugge in Belgium and won a point after a 0-0 draw. This draw could give them a good advantage in chasing at least the third place in the group.
Fatih Terim has some really classy players at his disposal. Despite of being 33-years old now, Radamel Falcao remains a striker who can score from any angle in the penalty area. Meanwhile Ryan Babel and Sofiane Feghouli are supporting the Colombian striker with some pace and technique.
During the first round of the group stage PSG showed their strenght. Despite of the absence of Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Edinson Cavani, the Parisians crushed Real Madrid with 3-0 at the Parc des Princes. The Argentine international Angel Di Maria scored a brace for the hosts, while Thomas Meunier put an and to the game in the last minutes.
There are some good news for the manager Thomas Tuchel before the trip to Istanbul. Neymar remains suspended for the next match, but Kylian Mbappe is ready to return on the pitch after a month of absence. It’s expected that the world champion will play some minutes as a substitute in Istanbul.
In our Champions League predictions we think that PSG deserve to be called favourites at the Turk Telekom, but Galatasaray will make it hard for them to win. Fatih Terim is a very experienced manager, who knows how to prepare his team for this big battle on Tuesday.
