Malaga – Barcelona
Malaga faces the leader Barcelona in a match from the 28th round of the Spanish La Liga. Here are our winning soccer predictions for this clash at the Estadio La Rosaleda in Andalusia.
It’s a terrible season for Malaga so far. The Andalusians are at the bottom of the table, having won just 13 points since the beginning of the season. At the moment Malaga are trailing on 8 points behind the 17th Levante and the safe zone, so we could say that they are very close to relegation to the Segunda Division.
So far Malaga have a record of just 3 wins (lowest in the league), 4 draws and 20 defeats – a really terrible performance. In their last five games they have conceded five consecutive defeats, which speaks enough for the way they perform this season.
For Barcelona it’s a completely different deal, of course. Ernesto Valverde is having a great first season at Barca, transforming the team into the leading force of Spanish football once again. The Los Cules are leading the table with 69 points, having 8 points advantage in front of the 2nd Atletico Madrid.
So far Barca are unbeaten in the league – 21 wins and 6 draws. It’s really a spectacular achievement that the Catalans are still unbeaten and it will be impressive if they end the season in this way. In their last five games Barcelona won three times and made two draws, losing points against Getafe and Las Palmas.
It’s hard to think that Malaga could take something from this game. We are talking about a clash between the weakest and the strongest team in the league. And Malaga’s record of 20 defeats from 27 games is not speaking too well for them.
These are our winning soccer predictions for the La Liga game between Malaga and Barcelona.
