Manchester City will host Newcastle United

We are heading to the Etihad Stadium where Manchester City will host Newcastle United in a game from the 15th round of the Premier League. Stay with us and our soccer predictions for this week. Let’s get to work!

Manchester City approach this game from 8th place in the standings, which is certainly not something which the fans are going to like very much. The truth is City had some problems with their consistency so far. Pep Guardiola’s team won just 6 of its 13 games so far and this is not a good winning percentage. Not for a team which usually fights for the title.

In their last game Manchester City won again, though. One goal from Raheem Sterling was enough for the former champions to take the three points against Southampton at the St. Mary’s. This win allowed the Cityzens to climb to 8th place. They are currently just three points behind the 4th Everton and the Top 4. They need to do much, much better, though.

Maybe Guardiola is going to make some rotations again. Against Southampton he started Sergio Aguero, Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden from the bench, but they could be in contention to start against Newcastle. Nathan Ake and Fernandinho are some other options Guardiola currently has.

Newcastle United approach this visit to the Etihad from 12th place in the standings. The Magpies are having 18 points won so far and they having a decent season so far. Their goal right now is pretty clear – win at least 40 points and be completely confident about survival.

In their last game Newcastle made their third draw for the season. Steve Bruce’s boys hosted Fulham but only got a point with a 1-1 draw.

That’s our soccer predictions for this week for the Premier League clash between Manchester City and Newcastle United at the Etihad. Let’s see if the visitors can trouble City here.
