A red card and a late goal deprived Alaves of great success
Alayes’s team leaked a legendary victory over Leganes in a 20th round of the Primera Division. The hosts led by 2: 0 to 75 minutes, but eventually scored two hits and the finish ended 2: 2.
Mundar El Hadaddy (46 ‘) and Alfonso Pedrasa (52’) gave Alayes a strong start for the second half, with two uninterrupted action being played by John Guidetti.
The Mendisorossa players were superior to the rival and felt certain victories, but in the 75th minute the referee gave a controversial penalty shoot-out to Guidetti’s hand. Gabriel realized it and the intrigue returned.
Alayes kept his advance almost to the very end to reach the 87th minute when a new intervention by the Arbitrator Daniel Trujillo gave a chance to the guests. The judge then picked up a second yellow card for Central defender Rodrigo Ellie for a dangerous game that facilitated Leganes so the team could reach a second goal in the 90th minute by Yoseba Saldua.
So Alayes missed the chance to get away 5 points from the relegation zone. Leganes has 6 points more than his current opponent and at least at this stage he should not worry so much.
