This game looks meaningless after the result from the first match. The first game at the Estadio Do Dragao turned out to be a pure nightmare for Porto. The home team suffered a 0-5 defeat, which basically qualified Liverpool for the 1/4-finals of the competition.

Jurgen Klopp’s team totally outperformed the Portuguese team in the first leg. Sadio Mane scored a hattrick for Liverpool that night, while Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino added two more goals for the winning side. Porto were so helpless that night that they ended the match without scoring a goal.

Liverpool are already thinking about the next phase of the competition, but they still have to finish the job. The fans at the Anfield would like to see a second win over Porto, because that’s why they are paying for. It may not be a 5-0 win again, but every type of win would be welcomed on Tuesday night.

For Porto on the other hand this is a question of honour. After suffering such a heavy defeat in the first game, the Dragons would like to show that they are better than this. Sergio Conceicao’s boys have to play for their dignity, because the result in the first leg was a huge shock for them and the fans. Porto are a good team and they are leading the standings in the Portuguese Primeira Liga, but the first game against Liverpool was a pure disaster.
