Middlesbrough is the new club of Tony Pulis

Middlesbrough officially announced the appointment of Tony Pulis as a new manager of the team. The 59-year-old replaces Gary Monk, who has been released for the second time in the second round of the campaign so far.

Monk took up the club in June after dropping out of the Premier League, but under his leadership, the Northlanders achieved only 10 wins in 23 games in the Championship and occupy ninth place at 12 points from the direct promotion position for the elite. Middlesbrough lost three of his last five matches, which overcame the club’s patience.

Pulis last led the elite West Bromwich but was fired on November 20 due to poor results.

He will make his debut at the Boro steering wheel today in Bolton’s championship.
